She enjoys playing strong female roles that have an emotional depth to them and relishes putting in the hours to create a dynamic character.

'Ariadne'  is an adaptation of the Greek Myth of Theseus and the slaying of the Minotaur from Ariadne's perspective. 'Ariadne' examines the relationship between sisters, how Ariadne fell in love with Theseus and the dire consequences of love and loyalty. Poppy Hardwicke has a strong belief in adaptation of Greek Mythology and Historical events to make learning a more exciting prospect. She hopes make 'Ariadne' into a full length play that can tour theatres and schools.

Poppy Hardwicke is interested in writing her own work, with particular interest in spoken word. With works such as 'Ariadne' and 'Lewinsky', she has an interest in exploring powerful/oppressed female figures in both fiction and non-fiction. She is currently working on adapting the myth of 'Pandora's Jar' which is also a greek myth.
